Dear Updown people....a couple of weeks ago my partner and I were visiting the Grund and we stopped off for a drink at your lovely pub. We had great service and very friendly staff. After visiting you guys we then wandered off around the various establishments and to see the beautiful river and scenery. It wasn't until over an hour later that Lili realised that she had left her purse somewhere. We retraced opur steps and eventually we ended up back at your pub where we asked if anyone had handed in a purse? We were absolutely worried sick as we had holiday cash and our credit cards in the purse. The lovely smile from the young lady behind the bar was most encouraging and we were so overjoyed that her colleague had indeed found our purse and taken it in for safe keeping hoping that we would return. We cannot express what trouble we would have been in had it not been for the honesty and caring attitude of these two young ladies. I did not get their names but one was from Belfast and the other was rather tall and was working with her on that day. We would just like to reiterate what we said on the day in such a tremendous 'THANK YOU!!' to both of these young ladies for their honesty and integrity and would ask that the management of this establishment is made aware of these facts. Our holiday would have been ruined had it not been for them. Many many thanks to them both....xxx Greg and Lili from the UK
